Hi, I’m Kristiana!

Long before I ever boarded a plane on my own, I was already travelling the world from my kitchen.

Growing up in Latvia, a small country in Northern Europe, travelling wasn’t something that happened every weekend. So I found another way to explore. Through recipes, ingredients, and flavours from different countries, I could imagine myself wandering through the streets of Rome, sitting by the sea in Greece, or discovering hidden cafés somewhere far from home.

Eventually, imagination turned into real adventures.

My love for travel started during family holidays and only grew stronger with every new place I visited. I became fascinated by different cultures, traditions, landscapes, and the stories that make every destination unique. That passion even led me to study tourism, giving me the opportunity to better understand the world I was so eager to explore.

But here’s a little secret: one of my favourite parts of travelling isn’t actually the trip itself – it’s the planning.

I can spend weeks (sometimes months) researching destinations, comparing hiking trails, searching for hidden beaches, saving restaurant recommendations, and endlessly exploring Google Maps. For me, every great adventure starts long before the suitcase is packed.

That’s exactly why I created this blog.

This is where I share my travel stories, food discoveries, favourite itineraries, practical travel tips, and recipes inspired by the places I’ve visited. My hope is that they help you plan your own adventures – or simply inspire you to try something new.

I’m not a chef, and I’m not a tour guide. I’m simply someone who can’t stop exploring. And maybe that’s exactly why this blog exists.

Because I believe the best memories rarely come from perfect plans. They come from getting lost in a new city, trying a dish you can’t pronounce, taking an unexpected detour, or bringing home a recipe that forever reminds you of a special place.

Thank you for being here.

I hope you’ll find inspiration here for your next adventure – whether it’s across the world or simply in your own kitchen.

Kristiana
